• Diamond Community School, Inc. has served 302 students since its inception, with 48 of 52 grade-eligible students successfully going on to high school. The school currently serves 81 children and has a waiting list.


  • About 90 to 98 percent of Diamond's at-risk students have an average 2.5-year increase in their reading skills per year.


  • The school has received local, state and national media acclaim, including more than 14 articles in Florida Today and a segment on WESH Channel 2 in Orlando in 2001.


  • The American Institute honored Dr. Doreatha J. Fields, school founder and executive director, with the Jefferson Award, the highest Public Service award and recognition in the nation, in Washington, D.C. at the Supreme Court.
